~ Bloomington, IN- The City of Bloomington is gearing up to celebrate National Hispanic Heritage Month with their annual event, La Fiesta del Otoño. The event will take place on Saturday, Sept. 21 from noon to 4 p.m. at the Switchyard Park Pavilion located at 1601 S Rogers St.
La Fiesta del Otoño is a free, family-friendly event that aims to bring the community together and celebrate the contributions of Hispanic and Latino individuals. According to Shatoyia Moss, director of Community and Family Resources, "Our city is stronger when more people are involved in policy development and more perspectives are present and heard at the decision-making table." This event serves as an opportunity for all residents and visitors to feel safe and valued in Bloomington.
The theme for this year's Fiesta is "Your Contributions Matter: Shaping the Future Together" or "Tus Contribuciones Importan: Formando el Futuro Juntos." The event will feature educational booths, cultural activities from various Spanish-speaking countries, and opportunities to interact with community partners.
