The City of Bloomington Names Shatoyia Moss as Director of Community and Family Resources

~ Bloomington, IN- Mayor Kerry Thomson of the City of Bloomington has announced the appointment of Shatoyia Moss as the new Director of the Department of Community and Family Resources (CFRD). This decision comes after Moss served as the interim director since May 20, following Beverly Calendar-Anderson's retirement.

Moss brings a wealth of experience to her new role, having previously served as the Safe and Civil City Director for CFRD since 2018. She is also an active member on several boards, including New Hope for Families, IU Credit Union, and Leadership Bloomington-Monroe County. In 2022, she was selected by former President Barack Obama to participate in the inaugural cohort for the United States at the Obama Leaders Foundation.

Before joining the City, Moss was the Director of Indiana Kids, a mentoring and tutoring program at Indiana University. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Science from Indiana University.

Expressing her gratitude for this opportunity, Moss stated, "I am honored to be appointed as the Director of Community and Family Resources. I am excited to continue our efforts in supporting and uplifting the Bloomington community through inclusive and impactful programs."
