June 23, 2026 — Beginning Wednesday, June 24, Diamond Avenue from Portage to California avenues will close for paving and speed hump installation.
During construction, motorists on Diamond Avenue will use Blaine and California avenues as the detour route. Eastbound traffic on Vassar Avenue will detour south on Wilber Street, east on Van Buren Street, north on Sancome Avenue, and then continue along California and Blaine avenues before rejoining Portage Avenue.

The anticipated reopening date is end of day Wednesday, July 8, weather permitting.
