April 14, 2025 ~ South Bend, IN - The City of South Bend has announced the start of their annual Spring Leaf Pickup Program, which will be offered on a call-in basis beginning Monday, April 14. Residents can call 311 to request a leaf pickup from Monday, April 14 to Friday, April 25. Pickup will begin the week of April 21.
According to city officials, loose leaves must be raked to the curb and should be free of sticks, trash and other debris in order to be collected. Any leaves that do not meet these guidelines will not be picked up. Residents are encouraged to call 311 with any questions regarding the program.
In order to ensure a smooth and efficient pickup process, the city has provided guidelines for residents to follow. Leaves should be raked to the tree lawn area and not into the street in order to prevent clogging of storm inlets.
