~ South Bend Launches 2025 Neighborhood IGNITE Grant Program to Empower Communities
The City of South Bend has announced the launch of the 2025 Neighborhood IGNITE Grant Program, aimed at providing resources for neighborhood associations to jumpstart projects that positively impact their community. The program, which was officially launched on July 24, 2025, can provide up to $15,000 for a single neighborhood or $30,000 for two neighborhood associations.
According to Mary McAfee, Director of Engagement and Economic Empowerment, this program will enable residents to participate in grassroots changes that promote safety and beautification in their neighborhoods. She expressed excitement for the new ideas that will be brought forth in 2025 and assured support for neighborhood leaders as they work towards implementing them.

Applications for the 2025 IGNITE Grant are now open and will close on September 26 at 5 p.m. Interested parties can schedule one-on-one meetings with an IGNITE Project Manager from July 28 to September 17.
