December 23, 2024 ~ The City of South Bend has released its holiday trash pickup schedule for the upcoming two weeks. In light of Christmas and New Year's Day, the city has announced that trash pickup for Wednesday and Thursday routes will be postponed by one day.
According to city officials, this change is due to the closure of city offices on Wednesday, December 25 and Wednesday, January 1 in observance of the holidays. The revised schedule for the week of December 23 is as follows: normal pickup on Monday and Tuesday, no trash pickup on Christmas Day (Wednesday), areas normally serviced on Wednesday will be picked up on Thursday, and areas normally serviced on Thursday will be picked up on Friday.

For the week of December 30, residents can expect normal pickup on Monday and Tuesday, no trash pickup on New Year's Day (Wednesday), areas normally serviced on Wednesday will be picked up on Thursday, and areas normally serviced on Thursday will be picked up on Friday.
