CHICAGO, March 27, 2025 ~ Protein Bar & Kitchen, the popular fast-casual restaurant known for its healthy and high-protein meals, is expanding its reach into Indianapolis with the help of two new franchisees. Jamie Little, a veteran motorsports reporter, and her husband Cody Selman, an experienced sales professional, have signed a multi-unit deal to bring three locations to the Indy area. The first location is set to open by Spring of 2026.
"We are excited to welcome Jamie and Cody to our franchise family," said Jeff Drake, CEO and President of Protein Bar & Kitchen. "They have a deep connection to the Indianapolis community and understand the need for convenient and better-for-you dining options. Our commitment remains strong in providing innovative and protein-packed offerings that cater to health-conscious consumers."
The duo behind this signed agreement brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the table. Jamie Little has been reporting on NASCAR and IndyCar races for over 20 years, making her the first woman to cover the Indy 500 in 2004. She is considered a trailblazer for women in sports broadcasting and currently covers select races on FOX.

Cody Selman has a background in business and sales, having transitioned from medical sales to owning his first franchise in 2013. Along with Little, he found success as part of the Jimmy John's franchise system before opening multiple Nothing Bundt Cake locations in Indianapolis.
After selling their previous franchises in search of a business that aligned with their personal lifestyle, Little and Selman discovered Protein Bar & Kitchen. They were immediately drawn to the brand's healthy menu options packed with protein and made with quality ingredients.
"It's the perfect time for a concept like Protein Bar & Kitchen to come to our area," said Little. "Once we tasted the food and saw its potential, we knew it was the right fit for our next venture. It was important for us to join a brand that aligns with our personal values and lifestyle, and Protein Bar & Kitchen does just that with its commitment to providing healthy and high-protein meals."
