INDIANAPOLIS, June 25, 2024 ~ Kiddie Academy of Greenwood, the newest addition to the Indianapolis-area, has announced its participation in Indiana's new child care assistance legislation, Senate Bill 2. This nationally recognized Kiddie Academy® Educational Child Care location will now be accepting employee subsidies and vouchers, as well as expanding recruitment efforts to employees in the 16- to 17-year-old age group.

The facility, which opened its doors in December 2023, is licensed to serve up to 190 children in its spacious 11,935 square-foot building. With 14 classrooms and a generous outdoor play space of 12,156 square feet, Kiddie Academy of Greenwood is well-equipped to provide quality care and education for young children.

Mauricio Fracon, chairman of TCF Schools Management which owns and operates Kiddie Academy of Greenwood, expressed his enthusiasm for the new legislation. "The new legislation is a valuable step forward in addressing the child care shortage in Indiana," he stated. "By providing financial assistance to child care employees and relaxing age restrictions, the bill has allowed us to focus on attracting and retaining high quality educators who were previously out of our reach."

Fracon plans to use this opportunity to expand their pool of qualified candidates by offering assistance to employees who are in need of child care. The legislation also allows them to consider talented individuals who have an early interest in educational child care. Additionally, this will make it easier for the Academy to maintain optimal staffing ratios.

Kiddie Academy of Greenwood is Fracon's third location in Indiana and the 12th under his management group nationwide. The facility boasts a total area of 11,935 square feet with ample outdoor play space measuring at 12,156 square feet. With a capacity for up to 190 children, this location will bring approximately 40 jobs to the community.

Heloisa Souza, vice president of operations for TCF Schools Management expressed her support for the new legislation, stating, "By addressing the child care shortage, this legislation will have a positive ripple effect on our community. It will support working families and contribute to the healthy development of children. We applaud this initiative and look forward to its positive impact on our Academy and the families we serve."
