~ Fishers AgriPark to Expand with New Multi-Purpose Building and Amenities

Fishers, IN - The Fishers AgriPark, a popular 33-acre urban farm and community destination, is set to undergo major enhancements with an $800,000 investment. The new additions will include indoor restrooms, classroom and programming space, and a country store designed to enhance the visitor experience. Construction of the new multi-purpose building is expected to be completed by May 2025, just in time for the AgriPark's busy spring and summer season.

According to Marissa Deckert, Director of Fishers Parks, this expansion reflects their commitment to making the Fishers AgriPark a premier destination for education, engagement, and enjoyment. "The new amenities will not only enhance convenience but also provide more opportunities for interactive programming and hands-on experiences for visitors of all ages," she stated.

The upgraded facilities will feature additional space for workshops, school-based programs, and community events. The new country store and coffee shop will offer specialty and seasonal food products from local vendors. While the building will be operational by May 2025, the country store is expected to open later in 2026.

This announcement comes after a record-breaking year for the Fishers AgriPark. Over 35,000 visitors enjoyed the AgriPark this season, with 30% visiting for the first time. Guests also participated in harvesting over 150,000 pounds of produce and engaged in hands-on learning through various programs.

Owned and operated by Fishers Parks, the Fishers AgriPark celebrates the city's agricultural roots while inspiring future generations. From fields and gardens to animal encounters and a sensory nature play area, the AgriPark offers a unique experience that combines farming, education, and fun.

Visitors can immerse themselves in a working farm environment where they can meet animals like Otis the pig and learn about cutting-edge farming practices. The AgriPark also partners with Hamilton Southeastern Schools to host school-based programs that engage students in agricultural sciences and sustainability.

Fishers Mayor Scott Fadness expressed his excitement for the new building, stating, "The addition of the new building is part of Fishers Parks' ongoing efforts to enhance the AgriPark's role as a community resource. With upgraded facilities and new features, the AgriPark will continue to connect residents and visitors to the land, the food they eat, and the importance of sustainable agriculture."
