Team members assembled dental hygiene kits and brightened Hope's space with fresh paint during a day dedicated to community care.
AVON, Ind. - IndianaStop -- Avon, Indiana — Hope Healthcare Services was honored to welcome an incredible team of volunteers from IU Health during their annual Days of Service, a statewide initiative dedicated to giving back to local communities through hands-on service.
Each year, IU Health team members across Indiana take part in Days of Service projects that strengthen neighborhoods, support local nonprofits, and demonstrate IU Health's mission to improve the health of all Hoosiers — both inside and outside the hospital walls.
At Hope Healthcare Services, IU Health volunteers brought energy, compassion, and care to their work. One group assembled hundreds of dental hygiene kits for Hope's patients, while another group brightened the clinic's space by painting the conference room, creating a more cheerful and welcoming environment for meetings and staff gatherings.

"We have an incredible partnership with IU Health," said Cliff Sweazey, Executive Director of Hope Healthcare Services. "They continue to show how much they care about our community — through partnering engagements, volunteer efforts, and program support. Their willingness to roll up their sleeves and serve alongside us truly makes a difference in the lives of the people we serve."
The dental hygiene kits were especially meaningful to patients. "Our patients love having something they can take home with them," Sweazey added. "They love these kits — it's a simple act of care that makes them feel seen and valued."
Photos from the day, shared on Hope's Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/share/p/16zTQ5EsfD/), capture the enthusiasm and generosity IU Health team members brought to their projects — serving with joy and compassion to help Hope further its mission of providing affordable, accessible healthcare for uninsured individuals and families.
