Youth-led philanthropy program demonstrates professionalism, compassion, and a strong commitment to community impact.
INDIANAPOLIS - IndianaStop -- Hope Healthcare Services is honored to announce it has received a generous grant award from the Lou & Sybil Mervis YoPhI Teen Board, a Youth Philanthropy Indy program of the Jewish Federation of Greater Indianapolis.
Youth Philanthropy Indy, also known as YoPhI, encourages Jewish youth in greater Indianapolis to do good through philanthropy and service, grounded in Jewish values and community connection. Through the YoPhI Teen Board, high school students serve as a philanthropic board, learning about community needs, evaluating grant opportunities, and making funding decisions through a values-grounded, consensus-building process.
Hope Healthcare Services was deeply impressed by the entire YoPhI Teen Board experience, from the thoughtful application process to the students' professionalism, follow-up questions, on-site engagement, grantmaking process, and award ceremony.
"We were truly honored to be part of this process," said Cliff Sweazey, Executive Director of Hope Healthcare Services. "The YoPhI Teen Board students were prepared, thoughtful, professional, and deeply engaged. Their questions reflected genuine care for the community and a desire to understand the impact of their giving. We are grateful for their generosity and encouraged by the leadership they are already demonstrating."

"Programs like YoPhI are doing more than awarding grants," Sweazey added. "They are shaping the next generation of community leaders, philanthropists, and changemakers. We are blessed to have been part of this process and excited to see what these young leaders will continue to do in the future."
Hope Healthcare Services expresses sincere gratitude to the YoPhI Teen Board, the Jewish Federation of Greater Indianapolis, and all those who support youth philanthropy and community service across central Indiana.
