Fishers Mayor Scott Fadness Delivers State of the City Address, Announces Major New Corporate and Lifestyle Investments

~ Fishers, Indiana - Mayor Scott Fadness delivered his annual State of the City address today, marking a decade of service as the city's first mayor. In his address, Fadness announced major new corporate and lifestyle investments that will continue to drive the city's rapid growth and transformation into a major regional destination.

Over the past ten years, Fishers has seen a significant increase in population and infrastructure. Fadness highlighted the city's 61% increase in park acreage, $135 million investment in parks and trails, and major roadway improvements such as the 106th Street interchange and State Road 37 project. He also noted new community amenities like the Fishers Event Center, Nickel Plate Trail, and upcoming Fishers Community Center.

Fadness also announced a lineup of major new investments that will bring even more jobs and lifestyle amenities to the community. One of these investments includes an expansion of restaurant and retail space at Fishers District from BW Development. This $30 million investment will provide new dining and retail options to The Crossing at Fishers District, home of the new Fishers Event Center.

In addition to this, a partnership with another development company is set to bring a mixed-use development to The Crossing in the coming weeks. This proposed development will include multifamily housing, retail space, and potentially a hotel pad.

The City is also developing an AgriPark 2.0 in west Fishers to expand on one of its most unique and popular parks. This second AgriPark will offer u-pick produce, special programming, and more for residents in that area.

Eastside residents can look forward to a new Target store on 136th Street in east Fishers. The 148,000-square-foot store will provide new jobs and a convenient shopping experience for residents in that area.

Fishers is also seeing significant investments from life science companies. INCOG BioPharma Services has committed approximately $280 million to expand their Fishers site along the city's Life Sciences & Innovation Corridor. This expansion will bring nearly 100 new jobs by the end of the year and another 100 in 2026. Stevanato Group, located at the Fishers Life Science & Innovation Park, is also expanding with new jobs and capabilities in manufacturing drug delivery devices. By 2032, the company plans to have 700 employees with an average salary of $70,000. Combined, these two companies bring a total investment of over $1.2 billion and 1,665 new jobs to Fishers.

In addition to these investments, Plug and Play has partnered with Launch Fishers to bring business connections and resources directly to startups in the area. This partnership will provide access to clients, corporate events, workshops, mentor sessions, and networking opportunities for Launch Fishers startups.
