~ Fishers, Indiana - On Wednesday, July 30 at 10 a.m., the City of Fishers will be hosting a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the opening of a new multipurpose barn and nature-themed playground at the Fishers AgriPark. This project is part of the city's ongoing efforts to enhance and expand this community asset, with support from IU Health as their health and wellness partner.
The newly constructed barn boasts indoor restrooms, a classroom and programming space, and a future market store set to open in 2026. The market will feature seasonal produce and goods from local vendors. The playground, made with native Indiana black locust wood, offers a rustic and farm-inspired play area for children.
According to Fishers Mayor Scott Fadness, the AgriPark is more than just a place to visit; it's a place for learning, exploration, and community growth. He believes that these new investments will better equip them to provide year-round education, recreation, and connection to the land.

In addition to these new features, the Fishers AgriPark also offers free U-Pick opportunities where guests can harvest their own produce. The park also has walking trails, animal encounters, and educational programming in partnership with Hamilton Southeastern Schools.
The impact of the Fishers AgriPark extends beyond just the city itself through a unique partnership with the Indianapolis Zoo. Through their farm-to-zoo pilot program, freshly harvested vegetables from the AgriPark are supplied to feed animals such as chimpanzees and giraffes. This weekly produce delivery provides thousands of pounds of produce annually, supporting animal nutrition and sustainable agriculture.
The Fishers AgriPark is now open year-round with expanded access to outdoor amenities and seasonal programming. Summer hours are Wednesday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturday through Sunday from noon to 4 p.m. The park is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.
Upcoming events at the Fishers AgriPark include the Fall Festival from October 3-5, which will feature pumpkins, inflatables, a scarecrow trail, and food. The AgriPark Campout on October 10-11 offers a unique overnight camping experience on the farm.
