~ Residents of the Tepe Park neighborhood can look forward to a new addition to their community this summer - a brand new splash pad. The plans for this exciting project were presented by Danielle Crook, the Executive Director of Parks & Recreation in Evansville, at a meeting with the Board of Park Directors earlier today.
This splash pad is just one of the many improvements being made to parks in Evansville this year. It follows the installation of new play spaces at Garvin Park and Fulton Park, all funded by the $24 million Parks Bond that was passed in 2024.
Construction on the splash pad is set to begin this spring, with equipment expected to arrive in June. Once installation is complete, residents can start enjoying the splash pad right away.

According to Evansville Mayor Stephanie Terry, this project is part of a larger effort to revitalize neighborhoods and ensure that every community has access to safe and beautiful parks. She stated, "My administration will continue to work towards improving our parks and recreational facilities, making them not only beneficial for our residents but also something we can proudly showcase to visitors."
The idea for a splash pad at Tepe Park was first introduced years ago as part of the Tepe Park Neighborhood Plan. This year, it has become a reality through a partnership between the Department of Parks & Recreation and the Evansville Water Sewer Utility.
Morley & Associates will oversee the construction process while Playpros will provide the equipment for the splash pad. With its opening just around the corner, residents are eagerly anticipating this new addition to their neighborhood park.
