~ The City of Fishers has taken a proactive step towards improving the lives of its senior citizens by launching an Aging & Wellness Task Force. This task force, co-chaired by Fishers City Councilman Bill Stuart and local physician and Hamilton Southeastern Board of Trustees member Dr. Juanita Albright, aims to evaluate the current services available for seniors in Fishers and make recommendations for new programming and initiatives.
The task force is made up of a diverse group of individuals, including residents and care providers. Their main goal is to identify any gaps in existing offerings through a community survey and focus groups during the evaluation phase.
According to co-chairs Stuart and Dr. Albright, this initiative highlights the city's dedication to supporting its senior population and ensuring they have access to necessary services, programs, and resources for a high quality of life in Fishers. They also expressed excitement about giving seniors the opportunity to directly impact future programming and infrastructure.
