~ The City of Bloomington Volunteer Network (CBVN) is gearing up to host the highly anticipated 2024 City of Bloomington Volunteer Fair. The event will take place at Fernandez Plaza in front of City Hall on August 24th from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., with a rain date set for August 31st.
This year, the Volunteer Fair will coincide with the popular Bloomington Community Farmers Market, which draws a large and diverse crowd to downtown Bloomington. The fair aims to provide non-profit organizations from Bloomington, Monroe County, and surrounding areas with an opportunity to showcase their programs and needs to the community. It also serves as a platform for these organizations to connect with potential volunteers and network with other leaders in the community.

Residents are encouraged to attend the fair and speak with representatives from various organizations, have their questions answered, and discover meaningful ways to get involved in their community. Table registration for non-profits is free, but space is limited. Interested organizations are advised to register before August 16th or until all spaces are filled.
The CBVN, which strives to build a strong, healthy, and engaged community by connecting volunteers of all ages with opportunities to serve, is behind this initiative. They also provide resources for volunteers and agencies to develop creative and effective volunteer projects, programs, and partnerships. The CBVN's ultimate goal is to inspire, support, and celebrate volunteerism in the community.
