The report, which covers data from tests conducted in 2023, details 14 contaminants that were detected in the city's drinking water, including disinfectant byproducts (DBPs) and total organic carbon.

According to the report, Bloomington's drinking water met all federal standards for safe consumption. In addition to the 14 contaminants listed in the report, more than 70 potential contaminants were tested for and not detected. The release of this report is a requirement under the Safe Drinking Water Act of 1974, which mandates that community water systems provide their customers with a Consumer Confidence Report.
