City of Bloomington Utilities Moves Forward with Stormwater Infrastructure Project at City Hall

~ Bloomington, IN- The City of Bloomington Utilities Department (CBU) has announced plans to replace a stormwater box culvert at the Morton St entrance to City Hall. According to CBU, the project is set to begin on Monday, February 12th and is expected to be completed by Tuesday, February 27th.

During the construction period, the sidewalk along the west side of N Morton St will be closed from W 7th St to W 8th St. Additionally, the entrance to the City Hall parking lot will also be closed. However, access to the parking lot will still be available through the N Rogers St and W 10th St entrances.

The estimated cost for this project is $40,000 and will be funded by the monthly stormwater fee paid by CBU customers in the storm water system service area. In case of any immediate concerns during the project, citizens are advised to contact the City's 24-hour line at (812) 339-1444.

The affected area is highlighted in orange and will remain closed for the duration of the project. The CBU urges residents and visitors to plan their routes accordingly and apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
