~ Bloomington, IN - The City of Bloomington is seeking input from residents to help shape upcoming safety improvements along 10th Street. This stretch of road, between Morton Street and Indiana Avenue, has been identified as a high-priority area in the City's Safe Streets for All initiative.

According to city officials, the decision to focus on this corridor was based on various factors such as crash data, traffic patterns, and pedestrian safety concerns. The goal of this planning effort is to reduce collisions, improve walkability and bike access, and ensure safer and more efficient travel for all users.

To achieve this goal, community feedback is crucial. Residents are encouraged to participate in one or more of the following ways: visiting the 10th St project website, completing an online survey, or attending the first public meeting on Thursday, April 3rd from 5:30-6:30 p.m. at Mr. Copy (501 E 10th St).

City staff will be present at the meeting to provide context, answer questions, and gather input from community members. Any updates or cancellations regarding the meeting will be posted on the project website.

This is an early opportunity for residents to have a say in shaping improvements for one of Bloomington's busiest corridors. The city emphasizes that every voice matters in creating a safer and more accessible city for all.
