City of Bloomington Hosts Public Meeting on Future Police Headquarters

~ Bloomington, IN- The City of Bloomington is inviting residents to attend a public meeting on Tuesday, January 7 to discuss the future location of the Bloomington Police Department (BPD) headquarters. The meeting will take place from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Bloomington Police Department located at 220 E. 3rd Street.

Mayor Kerry Thomson will kick off the session with an introduction and background presentation, providing insight into the factors and guiding principles that are shaping the City's exploration of potential sites for the BPD headquarters. Following this, Chris Ciolli, Project Executive with Weddle Bros. Construction Companies, will lead a discussion on possible opportunities for the project.

In addition to discussing potential locations for the BPD headquarters, attendees will also receive an update on the status of the public safety bond. This bond will help fund improvements aimed at enhancing safety and operational efficiency for both BPD and the community it serves.

For those unable to attend in person, the meeting will be broadcast live on Community Access Television Services (CATS) and can also be viewed on-demand afterward at catstv.net.
