NEW YORK, July 25, 2024 ~ Brighton Health Plan Solutions, LLC has recently announced the appointment of Jeremy Schoettle as their new chief financial officer. Schoettle brings with him over 25 years of experience in the financial industry, having started his career at Big Four accounting firm EY as a senior auditor.
According to Jim Cusumano, chief executive officer of Brighton HPS, Schoettle's extensive background in financial management and strategic planning at two of the largest carriers in the health plan market makes him a valuable addition to the company. Cusumano believes that Schoettle's expertise and entrepreneurial mindset will play a crucial role in driving the continued success and expansion of Brighton HPS to meet the evolving needs of their clients and partners nationwide.
Schoettle has over two decades of leadership experience in the health plan industry, having previously worked for Anthem (now Elevance Health) for ten years before joining UnitedHealthcare. During his nine-year tenure as chief financial officer of UnitedHealthcare's Specialty Benefits division, Schoettle oversaw all aspects of financial planning, reporting, analysis, and capital deployment.

Expressing his excitement about joining Brighton HPS, Schoettle stated that he considers it a great privilege and responsibility to lead the company's financial administration during a period of rapid growth and diversification. He also mentioned being impressed by the enthusiasm shown by Jim Cusumano, the board, and the executive team for delivering customer-centric solutions to clients and partners.
In his new role at Brighton HPS, Schoettle will utilize his extensive experience to strategically manage and safeguard the company's assets while optimizing financial processes. He will also be responsible for leading all financial administration tasks such as accounting, finance, forecasting, budgeting, and reporting.
Originally from Indianapolis, Schoettle holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from Indiana University and a master's degree in business administration from Butler University. He currently resides in Indianapolis with his wife and three children and enjoys playing golf in his spare time. He is also a passionate fan of the Pacers, Colts, and Hoosiers.
