Bloomington, Ind. ~ Bloomington, Ind. - The City of Bloomington Parks and Recreation Department is excited to announce the launch of their 2026 Performing Arts Series. This series will feature free, outdoor concerts in various city parks throughout the summer. Musicians and bands are invited to apply for this opportunity by submitting their applications online at bloomington.in.gov/concerts before the deadline on January 9, 2026.
A jury consisting of members from the local arts community will review all applications and select the performers for this series. The selection process will take into consideration factors such as the type and quality of performance, availability, performance record, and cost.
The concerts will be held at four different venues including Switchyard Park, Waldron, Hill and Buskirk Park, Hopewell Commons, and Bryan Park. In addition to these concerts, selected performers may also have the opportunity to showcase their talents at other Parks and Recreation special events such as the annual Holiday Market held on the Saturday after Thanksgiving.

Interested musicians and bands are encouraged to submit their applications by January 9 for full consideration. However, applications will continue to be accepted until all performance dates are filled. The booking process will take place in late January through February.
For many years, Bloomington Parks and Recreation has been dedicated to showcasing local talent and bringing communities together through live music in beautiful outdoor settings. The Performing Arts Series aims to celebrate musical diversity while fostering a sense of community one concert at a time.
