Bloomington: Public Meeting on Future Police Headquarters Rescheduled Due to Weather

~ The scheduled public meeting to discuss the future headquarters of the Bloomington Police Department (BPD) has been postponed due to inclement weather. The meeting, originally planned for Tuesday, January 7, will now take place on Monday, January 27 from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the BPD located at 220 E. 3rd Street.

According to Mayor Kerry Thomson, the rescheduled meeting will include a presentation on the guiding principles and factors influencing site considerations for the new headquarters. Chris Ciolli, Project Executive with Weddle Bros. Construction Companies, will also lead a discussion on potential opportunities for the project.

Attendees can also expect updates on the public safety bond funding improvements for BPD and the community. For those unable to attend in person, the meeting will be broadcast live on Community Access Television Services (CATS) and available for on-demand viewing at catstv.net.
