Bloomington, Ind. ~ Bloomington, Ind. - The City of Bloomington Parks and Recreation Department has announced the appointment of Aaron Biggs as the new Recreation Services General Manager. This decision was made in an effort to continue providing exceptional recreational opportunities and experiences for the community.
Aaron brings a wealth of experience to his new role, having graduated from Indiana University with a Bachelor of Science in Recreation Sport Management. He has also held various positions in event planning and service management, including his most recent role as Director of Retail & Hospitality for the Chocolate Moose Company.
Leslie Brinson, Parks and Recreation Department Recreation Services Division Director, expressed her excitement about Aaron's appointment, stating that "with years of experience in event planning and service management, Aaron understands what it means to serve a community with energy and care." She also added that they are delighted to have his passion and spirit on board.

In his previous roles at the City of Bloomington Twin Lakes Recreation Center, Aaron has served as an intern, personal trainer, fitness instructor, and Staff Assistant of Operations. He expressed his enthusiasm about returning to where it all began for him and continuing his career with Bloomington Parks and Recreation.
As the new Recreation Services General Manager, Aaron will be responsible for managing the annual community events program budget. He will also oversee the organization and implementation of various community events such as the Bloomington Community Farmers' Market, Performing Arts Series concerts in city parks, Community Gardening program, as well as health and wellness initiatives within the department.
The City of Bloomington Parks and Recreation Department is confident that Aaron's experience and dedication will contribute greatly to their mission of providing exceptional recreational opportunities for the community.
