Bloomington, Ind. ~ Bloomington Parks and Recreation is currently seeking talented performers to apply for the 2025 Performing Arts Series, a series of concerts held in city parks. The application process is open now and will close on January 10 at 5 p.m.
A jury made up of members of the local arts community will be responsible for selecting the performers. They will evaluate applications based on the type and quality of performance, availability of the musician or band, past performance record, and cost.
The series will take place at various venues throughout the city, including Switchyard Park, Waldron, Hill and Buskirk Park, Peoples Park, Bryan Park, and Hopewell Commons. These locations provide accessible outdoor spaces for performances and aim to bring together members of the community through music.
In addition to the Performing Arts Series, Parks and Recreation also hosts special events such as the annual Holiday Market. Applications received for the series may also be considered for these events.
