The Bloomington ~ The Bloomington-Monroe County Metropolitan Planning Organization (BMCMPO) is gearing up to host a public meeting on Monday, July 22, to discuss the update process for the 2050 Metropolitan Transportation Plan (2050 MTP). The meeting will take place in an in-person open house format from 4-6 p.m. at the Switchyard Park Pavilion located at 1601 S. Rogers Street in Bloomington, Indiana.
The purpose of the meeting is to provide information about the ongoing update process for the 2050 MTP and to gather public feedback and comments. The BMCMPO is responsible for preparing an updated multimodal Metropolitan Transportation Plan that covers the City of Bloomington, the Town of Ellettsville, and urbanized areas of Monroe County.

The plan aims to identify recommended improvements to the region's transportation system through the year 2050. This includes aspects such as roadways, public transit, bikeways, pedestrian walkways, and freight. The BMCMPO encourages all members of the community to attend and share their thoughts on how to improve transportation in their area.
