~ Bloomington, IN- The City of Bloomington has recently been awarded a $75,000 grant to support its Mobile Integrated Healthcare (MIH) program. This funding will allow for the expansion of patient care through the addition of a new vehicle and specialized equipment.

The grant was secured by MIH Trainer, Trisha Rademachir, who has been working tirelessly to enhance the program. Deputy Chief of the Bloomington Fire Department, Max Litwin, expressed his gratitude for the support and highlighted the impact it will have on the community. "This grant allows us to better serve our neighbors, especially those who may not have easy access to healthcare," said Litwin.

The MIH program is designed to address gaps in the local healthcare system by providing non-emergency care directly to patients in their homes or communities. With this funding, a new Utility Terrain Vehicle (UTV) will be added to navigate special events and challenging areas, allowing for increased public engagement opportunities. Additionally, medical equipment will be supplied to further improve patient care.
