~ Bloomington, Indiana - The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) has announced plans to install an all-way stop at the intersection of State Road 45 and Smith Road. According to a press release, the installation is scheduled to take place on or after Friday, March 28.
The installation work is expected to be completed within one day, weather permitting. In addition to the all-way stop, advance warning signs and flashers will also be installed at the intersection. Drivers are advised to approach the area with caution as they become accustomed to the new traffic pattern.

The primary goal of this project is to improve safety and mobility by reducing the potential for right angle crashes at the intersection. To further enhance visibility for motorists, sight distance management work has also been carried out.
